‘A Star Is Born’ is a 2018 remake of the previous films by the same name. With a whole new soundtrack, the film manages to uplift your spirit, and shatter your heart into pieces, soley through the lyrics and vocals. ‘Lady Gaga’ plays “Ally’, and aspiring songwriter and singer, who meets world famous performer ‘Jackson’ (Bradley Cooper), who pushes her towards great things in the music industry, as they also become romatically involved. ‘The Haunting Of Hill House’ (2018)

‘The Haunting Of Hill House’ is a Netflix Original series that was released earlier this month (October). As halloween is on the horizon, I thought I’d put myself through this spooky 10 episode series. Just as Netflix does, all of the episodes were avaliable immediatly from the streaming plattform, which is no good for me, as binge watching is one of my worst habits. Like the fool I am, I watched all the episodes every spare minute that I got, and much alike every horror TV series, it did not fail to put the viewer in a sense of unease. Mamma Mia (2008) Vs Mamma Mia 2 (2018)

The recent release of the sequel to the much beloved, feel-good film Mamma Mia graced our cinema screens this past summer, and me being me, I didn’t wait around, and managed to take my seat with my bag of popcorn within the opening week. The Musical film that feautures numerous ABBA songs was the movie everyone had been waiting for, and it did not disappoint. In my view, the 2nd film ‘Mamma Mia – Here We Go Again’ took all the best parts about the 1st movie, and combined it all with some very emotional Continue reading “Mamma Mia (2008) Vs Mamma Mia 2 (2018)”
‘American Horror Story’ (2011 – Present)

With the upcoming Eight season being released this month, and with all the hype suggesting this will be the best season yet, I thought I’d delve into past seasons and take a look at their plot-lines, and their themes. ‘American Horror Story’ is an anthology series created by ‘Ryan Murphy’, in which each season portrays a whole new setting surrounding everyday horror. There is a lot of controversy over which season is ‘the best’, with everybody having entirely different views. I started watching the series a few years ago on netflix, and have watched every season at least twice now, and have come up with my list of the best and worst seasons. If you haven’t seen this show, I highly recommend it, however it is not for the faint hearted as some scenes included within the show can be considered fairly explicit and violent.
‘Call Me By Your Name’ (2017)

“Call Me By Your Name’ is a coming of age movie released in 2017 that was nominated for several awards, and winning the academy award for ‘best writing adapted screenplay’. A film that is incredibly close to my heart and by far my favourite movie of all time, I thought it only fitting to include this as my first entry. The scenes in this film, combined with the fantastic music score and editing, make it so unique and uplifting.
